Union Minister for Transportation, IT, and IT&I Ashwani Vaishnaw will kick off his camp visit to Rajasthan on Friday, when he will inaugurate various rail projects and introduce fresh train services to provide rail connectivity in the state.
The Rail Minister will arrive on duty in Jodhpur around 11 a.m. and lead various programmes related to the railways. The main event will be held at the Jodhpur Railway Station, where he will flag off the upgraded 20-coach Vande Bharat Express that runs from Jodhpur to Delhi Cantt. Here they were all using a semi-high-speed train that had been reduced from 12 to 8 coaches.
On the occasion, Mr Vaishnaw will also unveil the extension of the Sabarmati-Jodhpur Superfast Express to Jaisalmer, which will provide enhanced connectivity between Sabarmati and Jodhpur for those travelling towards western Rajasthan. Moreover, he will virtually lay the foundation stone of a new coach care complex in Jaisalmer.
The minister for the Union will then head for Jalore, where the new Bhuj-New Delhi train service will be launched. The elevated train is anticipated to enhance the number of travellers who make use of a number of the stations throughout Rajasthan and the surrounding areas of the state.
Later in the day, the Railway Minister will visit the town of Pali, inspecting redevelopment work being undertaken as part of the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, which is one of the latest railway station development initiatives in the country.
Mr Vaishnaw will be visiting the Rozgar Mela in Jaipur on Saturday to hand over the appointment letters to the newly recruited Central Government employees in different departments. His visit to Jaipur is also expected to be accompanied by discussions with the electronics and semiconductor industry representatives.
