After videos of the stunt were shared across social media, a police investigation was launched for the dangerous stunts allegedly being performed by three men in SUV on the Dwarka Expressway.

The eyewitnesses said that the SUV were travelling on the busy express highway at high speed for several kilometres in Gurugram. The passengers were said to have been engaged in hazardous driving, such as changing lanes, stopping suddenly, leaning out of windows and crossing lanes while the cars were in motion. The stunt driving reportedly caused traffic jams and had to get several cars to slow down quickly to avoid collisions.

The witnesses reported that the SUVs seemed to be orchestrated, traveling in sync, a sign of premeditating the stunts, according to them. The accident caused a panic among passengers of the expressway, since it’s a high-traffic fast road, and even a small mistake in driving can result in a big accident.

The vehicles’ registration number plates were allegedly tampered with, adding to their concerns, making it difficult for them to identify the vehicles. Police believe the people could have deliberately tried to hide the car numbers.

Once the videos went viral online, a police probe was initiated by the Gurugram Police against the issue. The police are now looking through the footage on the cameras set up on the expressway and checking the videos, posted on social media, frame by frame to identify the perpetrator.

A senior police officer stated that the strict action is to be taken when the individuals are traced. The authorities also stated that the reckless driving, car tricks and everything that could lead to the safety of others would be subject to heavy punishment under traffic and criminal laws.
