The main accused in the murder of 17-year-old Surya Chauhan in Ghaziabad’s Khoda area has been killed in a police encounter, officials said. The accused named Asad, who was on the run since the Bakrid day murder, had been wanted in connection with the killing.
Police said they were given a specific tip-off late at night that Asad was going to the Khoda neighborhood to get money from one of his friends before leaving the city. Ghaziabad Police activated the Information and after getting the information, they put their men at spots and waited for the man to come.
However, after a short time, Asad later showed up in the area on a motorcycle with another man. Police teams swarmed the area and made an effort to capture him. But the authorities claimed that Asad fired at the police as he was fleeing, authorities say.
Revenge by the Police, and in the face-to-face gun battle, Asad was shot by the Police. He was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital, where he passed away later due to his injuries, police said.
