Durg: A serious case has appeared in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh state. A tense situation at Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Titurdih came to light today when electricity passed through the school, and students and staff panicked. During the incident, the school enrolment included over 300 children in primary school. Due to the teachers’ timely intervention and emergency moves, all the students were evacuated to the school compound.

It happened when the school had its morning session, with more than 300 young students attending their classes. Shortly, an electric current was reported to have passed through the school system, which caused an immediate reaction. Immediately, the teachers evacuated all students from the classes and to the open yard area of the school. Thankfully, all the children have been stated not to be harmed and that they are all fit and well.

Parents got anxious upon learning about the above incident; they feared for their children and wanted to know more from the management of the school. The parents were informed by the school’s authorities that the main switch was off and assured that everything was under control. They stressed the notion that there was no danger to the kids anymore.

As was the case, officers from the district education department quickly converged at the scene to size the situation. They are, at the moment collecting details of the incident and supervising the measures that are being taken to prevent further occurrences. At the same time, special proceedings are being conducted to find out the reason for the electrical defect that caused the distribution of the current in the area.

There is increasing alarm over safety measures implemented in learning institutions, bearing in mind that some regions may be at risk of structures being at risk. Teachers’ quick reaction saved a possible catastrophe.
