Big News for Women in the State: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai announced an important development regarding the Mahatari Vandana Scheme on Thursday. He declared that money will be transferred to accounts on the first or second day of each month. During media discussions, he revealed that he urged the Finance Minister to ensure payment to women in the first week of the month. In response, the Finance Minister suggested transferring the funds on the 1st or 2nd of each month.

Earlier, on March 10, the government initiated the scheme by distributing the first installment to women across the state. Prime Minister Modi virtually participated in the event held at Raipur’s Science College Grounds, where he pressed a button to transfer the initial installment of Rs. 1,000 to the bank accounts of eligible women.

Under the scheme, more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh were promised Rs. 1,000 each month. On March 10, the scheme’s first installment of Rs. 655 was disbursed.

This initiative aims to empower women financially and uplift their socio-economic status. By ensuring regular monthly payments, the government intends to provide consistent support to women and enable them to meet their daily needs and contribute to their families’ well-being. Chief Minister Sai’s commitment to prompt and timely disbursement of funds underscores the government’s dedication to women’s welfare and empowerment.

The Mahatari Vandana Scheme holds significant potential to transform the lives of women in Chhattisgarh, offering them a steady source of income and enhancing their financial independence. As the scheme progresses, it is expected to bring about positive changes in the lives of countless women across the state.
