Raipur: The Union Home Minister, who is on a visit to Chhattisgarh, will launch the next-gen CG Dial 112 Integrated Emergency Response Support System (ERSS 2.0) in Raipur this morning. He will also dedicate 400 state-of-the-art Dial 112 vehicles and a mobile forensic science laboratory. The implementation of this new system will make emergency services in the state more modern, quick, and technology-based, enabling people to receive rapid assistance in times of crisis.
As part of the program’s preparations, State Home Minister Vijay Sharma inspected the venue today and reviewed the arrangements. He directed officials to complete all program preparations in a timely and systematic manner. Next Gen CG Dial 112 is an innovative initiative towards technology-based good governance in the state, providing services such as police services, fire services, medical emergency assistance, women’s helpline, child helpline, disaster management assistance, and highway emergency services on a unified platform. This ensures prompt and coordinated assistance to citizens.
This advanced system includes modern features such as a centralized command and control center, GPS-based emergency response vehicles, GIS-based real-time monitoring, an automatic call location identification system, and technology-enabled dispatch management. The new system will provide more effective assistance in crime control, women and child safety, road accident response, medical assistance, and public crises.
