Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Part I is turning heads at the ticket window, with a little under two weeks to go for its November 5 release. As of Friday, the film had sold 1.47 lakh tickets across 3,968 shows, worth Rs 8.28 crore, including block seats (Rs 6.26 crore without them). At this pace, it is heading towards Rs 10 crore in advance bookings for the first-day first shows.

The Hindi version is leading the advance bookings, accounting for Rs 7.49 crore, followed by Kannada at Rs 57.69 lakh and Telugu at Rs 21.11 lakh. The National Capital Region contributed Rs 2.01 crore on Friday, while Mumbai recorded Rs 1.49 crore. Reports also suggest that morning shows are recording the highest occupancy so far.

Premium seats are getting pricey. Tickets for afternoon and evening shows at PVR Icon 3D IMAX in Mumbai’s Lower Parel have reached Rs 3,170, according to media reports.

The film also features Yash, Sai Pallavi and Sunny Deol and is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It is scheduled for a global, multi-language release on November 5, 2026, with a franchise budget of Rs 4,000 crore. It has already secured a Rs 450 crore digital and satellite rights deal with Star Group.

Overseas bookings are strong too. A day before this tally, the film had grossed $1.12 million in advance bookings across the US, Canada, the UK and Australia, according to sources.

Trackers caution that the final opening-day figures will depend on the addition of shows and the full nationwide booking rollout. These numbers are therefore likely to change.

Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka are leading advance sales among states, while the National Capital Region, Mumbai and Bengaluru are emerging as the strongest major city markets.
