Raipur: Seven security personnel including four Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans and three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Saturday detected Corona virus positive in Narayanpur and Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. These paramilitary jawans were returned after the leave from their home states of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
As per the information received, the four ITBP jawans had returned from leave from their home state to Narayanpur district. They were kept quarantined at the ITI Quarantine Centre. The security personnel were tested for COVID-19 and their samples were sent to medical college for testing recently. The COVID-19 four soldiers on Saturday tested positive. All the Corona infected jawans have been isolated. Earlier, two more jawans of the security force were detected Corona positive.
Similarly, three CRPF jawans were also tested positive for COVID-19. They were also at the quarantine centre after their arrival to Sukma district. The efforts are being made to send all the COVID-19 infected jawans to Jagdalpur based COVID-19 hospital.
As per the data provided by the state health department, as many as 2018 tested positive which included 703 active cases and 1305 are said to be recovered from the virus till Friday.
