Chhattisgarh: On Wednesday, Chhattisgarh recorded as many as 71 new cases including a health department employee, taking the total to 1874 , since the first case was detected on March 18, a health official said.

On a brighter side, Chhattisgarh’s recovery cases has reached to 1099. With this, the recovery rate of the state is higher than that of the nation, comprised 58%.

Of the new cases, Raipur alone has recorded over 25 cases on Wednesday, followed by Janjgir(10), Balodabazar (08), Raigarh(05), 4 cases each registered from Behemetara, Gariyaband, Korba and Mahasamundra, Jashpur(03), 2 cases are from Durg while 1 case each from Rajnandgaon and Mungeli.

In all, 25 districts are affected from the pandemic outbreak in the state. Korba had the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 253 confirmed infections, followed by Balodabazar(180), Raipur(177), Bilaspur(168), Janjgir-Champa(151), Mungeli(117) and so on.
