Mirzapur: The Movie made a solid performance at the domestic box office on Thursday, making slightly more than Hanuman on the same day, as per the industry sources.

Ali Fazal made a stellar entry in the action genre with the film and maintained a decent Rs 10.55 crore nett on 10th September in India. It has been making money since its theatrical release on September 4, rolling its domestic gross to Rs 148.45 crore so far.

Meanwhile, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 10 crore in NAG (net at box office) on Thursday. Based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, it has grossed to Rs 163.13 crore so far in the domestic run.

The longer theatrical run of Hanuman Ansh could explain the situation as while Mirzapur: The Movie had more numbers, the former has more income to provide for it as of now on Thursday.

Since the release of the Mirzapur film, it has been performing well at the box office likely due to the success of its Prime Video series. The movie revitalizes a few main characters from the franchise and has sparked great interest in the already loyal fans to the franchise.

Meanwhile, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups with Yash’s guidance is emerging as an overall domestic market leader as both the films expand into the local market by the day. The movie has grossed Rs 248.24 crore nett in India to date which is released on August 26.

Geetu Mohandas has directed the film Toxic and it stars Yash in the lead role, while Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria are playing the prominent roles. The movie is the top movie at the Indian box office in the current movie season.
