Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM SS Chauhan disbursed a sum of Rs 250 crore through a single click to the 26,500 beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana at the Thackeray Stadium, Bhopal.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 8,68,000 houses have been approved out of which 4,72,000 families have already procured pucca houses. Bhoomi Poojan of 30,000 houses and inauguration of 50,000 was done virtually during the event today.
Interacting with the crowd gathered, CM Chauhan promised to develop the residential sectors efficiently and provide a pucca house for everyone in the state. He also stated the initiation of a survey that would recognise all illegally built colonies and approve their registrations. He cited the progress achieved by the state under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. Under the scheme, the ration is been given at Re 1 per kg.
He further appealed to the citizens to abide by cleanliness norms set by authorities. As per his statement, it is learnt that a cleanliness survey will be held from March 1st, where areas will be scrutinized strictly. He envisions Madhya Pradesh to hold the topmost rank in cleanliness across the country.
