A violent clash was witnessed outside the Khan Global Studies in Patna’s Kadamkuan area after which 3 people including one of the coaching institute’s opponents were arrested. Khan Sir, who is popular among the students of the country has run this institute, making the matter of Tuesday night incident, much talked about. The arrested persons are identified as coaching institute director Roshan Anand, Prince Gaurav and Abhishek. All three were made before a local court and later handed over to judicial custody.
During the classes there, a group of men allegedly attacked the premises of Khan Global Studies, the reports said. According to Khan Sir, the attackers robbed of the items, attacked a security guard of the institute, caused panic among students and the staff. He also said that he saw several shots fired during an assault.
But police officials have been told a different story. On Wednesday, Senior Superintendent of Police K Sharma told reporters that the incident was mostly of physical assault and stone-throwing and caused injuries to a security guard who is getting medical attention. So far, there is no evidence of gunfire, authorities stated and investigations are ongoing.
Coaching industry competition could have been a factor in the attack and Khan Sir said that his institute was popular and education was simple, inexpensive, and had a low cost. Police are trawling through CCTV footage, witness statements and other evidence, trying to find out exactly what happened and if there was any other witnesses involved.
