New Delhi: The External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar stressed that Indian can meet the national security challenges being posed by China and Pakistan. While speaking in Uganda about the transformation of Indian into a new India, he said that the forces who have indulged in cross-border terrorism for decades not know that this is a different India that is ready to give a reply.

As India is making efforts to include concerns of the Global South in the G20 framework under its presidency, Dr. Jaishankar posted a video on his Twitter account to mark his first visit to Uganda.

Referring to the 2016 Uri attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed insurgents from Pakistan against an Indian Army brigade headquarters and also the Balakot airstrike conducted by Indian warplanes in Balakot.

“Today forces which indulged in cross-border terrorism against India for decades and which India tolerated, they now know this is a different India and this India will give a reply”, said the minister. he further added that the Indian policies are not influenced by external pressures and are more independent.
