Mirzapur: The Movie continues its impressive run at the box office and is now just a few crores away from crossing the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide. The movie, helmed by Gurmeet Singh, has been able to bring this popularity to the silver screen and it has Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu-Ravi Kishan delivering some commendable performances.
The film opened with a respectable Rs 25.75 crore collection on Day 1, and had a strong debut weekend. Mirzapur: The Movie is seen to have garnered Rs 12.30 crore net from 10,705 screens on Day 6 in India, based on trade platform Sacnilk. The total India net collection now stands at Rs 137.65 crore and gross collection for India stands at Rs 164.43 crore.
The movie has also continued to ride momentum in international markets. It has made Rs 2 crore on Day 6 and netted a total of Rs 29 crore in overseas markets. This has enabled it to chalk up a total take of Rs 193.43 crore globally.
The movie is estimated to soon hit the Rs 200 crore mark with Rs 6.57 crore still to go. It is still fighting against Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups and Hanuman Ansh and Jeevan Bheema Yojana has also been released in theatres, directed by Arshad Warsi.
There is also some cast changes for the film as compared with the TV series. Jitendra Kumar will be seen in the role of Bablu Pandit who was played by Vikrant Massey and Ravi Kishan is a new addition to the franchise.
