Hyderabad: Telangana observed its State Formation Day on Tuesday in a grand celebration. CM Revanth Reddy attended the festivities held at Parade Ground, Secunderabad where the customary national flag hoisting was done.
Addressing the gathering, CM Revanth Reddy praised the results achieved under the government welfare schemes and emphasized that the society would not tolerate monarchy authoritarianism. He highlighted the recent achievements including 67,000 government vacancies. Additionally, the chief hinted the release of recruitment notifications for govt jobs at the Engineering, PCB, Forest Town Planning and Education department.
Besides, he mentioned the introduction of pre-primary classes in 1362 government schools, breakfast provision in all government institutions and mid day meals to junior colleges as part of ‘Telangana Vision-2047’.
Elsewhere, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka attending the Telangana Formation Day event at Police parade ground in Khammam said that plans have been finalized to scale up Telangana’s current economy from $200 billion to $1 trillion by 2034, and eventually into a massive $3 trillion economy by 2047.
Bhatti stated that the government has launched a novel initiative with an aim of providing social security to every family in the state, unmatched by even developed countries globally. The “Indiramma Kutumba Jeevitha Bima Pathakam” (Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme) will provide free life insurance worth Rs.5 lakh per family to 1.15 crore families in the State, without any distinction between poor, middle class, or rich. Under which, mmense financial support to families during times of crisis when they lose their sole breadwinner will be provided.
Sharing the statistics under Abhayahastham program and the progress of Indiramma Houses in Khammam district, he revealed that under the first phase monitoring is being done at the field level for the construction of 16,243 houses, and Rs.441 crore has been credited to beneficiaries’ accounts.
A subsidy of Rs.41 crore was borne to provide gas cylinders at Rs.500 to 2,45,069 beneficiaries in the district. Free travel for women in RTC buses resulted in savings of Rs.303.55 crore in the district. Subsidies worth Rs.236.60 crore were provided to 2,50,204 families for free electricity up to 200 units while 59,448 new white ration cards were sanctioned, bringing the total to 4,70,591 cards through which fine rice (Sanna Biyyam) is being distributed.
