Kashmir: A Lashkar terrorist believed to be the mastermind of the 2018 attack on an Army Camp in Jammu was found beheaded in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir last night. The body of Khwaja Shahid was found to be beheaded, just days after reports of him being abducted surfaced.
Sources reveal that Shahid had planned the terror attack on an army camp in Sunjuwan in Jammu. Besides a civilian, six jawans and one army officer were killed in the attack.
Shahid has been the 18th anti-India terrorist neutralised in 20 months. Earlier in October, Daud Malik, a tribal leader who was a trusted confidant of Jaish chief Masood Azhar was gunned down in broad daylight by unidentified gunmen in North Waziristan.
Besides Shahid, months back terrorist identified as Naveed Jutt, was reportedly involved in the planning and execution of the 2018 attack on the Sunjuwan Army Camp was reportedly missing. Later, Jutt’s body was found in a ditch in the Baramulla district of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. His throat was slit and his head was severed. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, but it is believed that he was killed by a rival terrorist group.
The incident has been condemned by both India and Pakistan. Indian authorities have called on Pakistan to take action against terrorist groups operating on its soil, while Pakistani officials have said that they are investigating the matter.
The beheading of Naveed Jutt serves as a reminder of the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region. It is important for both India and Pakistan to work together to combat terrorism and to ensure the safety and security of their citizens.
