Sitapur. A horrific road accident occurred on Friday near Bargadia village on the Sidhauli Misrikh road in the Sandana police station area. A bus carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh fell into a roadside ditch. A motorcyclist was hit and died in the accident. Around 50 pilgrims were trapped inside the bus.
Although all the devotees have been evacuated, the condition of three of them is reported to be critical and they have been sent to the community health center. Efforts are currently underway to pull the bus out of the ditch. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the accident. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and directed officials to immediately reach the scene. He also directed that relief and rescue operations be expedited.

It should be noted that a road accident also occurred in Auraiya. A high-speed tractor collided with a motorcycle. A niece was killed in the incident, while two others, including her maternal uncle, were seriously injured. The incident caused widespread commotion at the scene. Police arrived immediately after receiving information about the accident and rushed both injured to the hospital for treatment.
