The recently released movie Ulajh has faced a problem at the Box Office and the movie’s performance did not increase after the Movie was released in the theatre last Friday. The film trackers have indicated ₹65 lakh on Tuesday, down from what it had already gathered earlier. Written and directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh started with ₹1.15 crore on its first day, followed by ₹ 1.75 crore on the second day, and ₹2 crore on the third day.
Nevertheless, the film witnessed a dip on the fourth day as it grossed ₹65 lakh, and following a similar thought process, it grossed ₹65 lakh nett on the fifth day as per overview estimates. As of now, the film has grossed a total of ₹6. 20 cr with a global edge of 11.35% occupancy in Hindi.
Ulajh has Janhvi Kapoor portraying the character of Suhana, the young diplomat and a spy. The film also stars Roshan Mathew, Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi in key roles. Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria have written the script of the film along with the dialogues written by Atika Chauhan, and the plot of the film revolves around the life of young Deputy High Commissioner Suhana and the mission of the London embassy. This is characterized by secret and betrayal; there is a hint of an insider, which threatens to expose undercover operatives and puts Suhana in a dangerous position.
Janhvi on her Role in Ulajh
While talking to one of the leading dailies, Janhvi Kapoor discussed Ulajh specifically speaking about how it differs from her other characters. Kapoor was quoted as saying: “I feel it is a very different character for me. In most of my previous movies, I played a fragile girl who needs a man to protect her, whereas Suhana is not that kind of woman and that sounded very appealing to me.”
