New Delhi: NTA, the governing body responsible for conducting the NEET UG re-exam in an attempt to address confusion among students about the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) scheduled for June 21, published a set of questions to clarify the next step and timelines.
Refund of Exam Fees
In a recent notice, the NTA extended the deadline to submit details for refund till June 22. It mentioned that over 13 lakh students have so far updated their bank account details on the portal designated for refund.
Can Medium of Exam be Changed?
A student inquired if he/she could change the medium of examination. To which NTA denied and informed that the medium selected during the submission of the application at first will be the final medium and no changes are possible.
Exam, Date and Time
As per official announcements made so far, NEET UG Re-exam will be held on June 21 2006, from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, including the time for formalities.
Why the Extra 15 mins?
Another student on seeing the time raised a question on the grace time. As per official guidelines, the additional 15 minutes are for documentation, verification and other formalities.
Exam Centre, City Details
Authorities mentioned that examination centres are being allotted as per the city, and that they may not necessarily be the old ones. The window to update existing city choices is available from May 15 to June 21. For students who do not opt for the facility, the choice of city from the previous exam will be retained.
Additional Fee for Re-exam?
No candidate should have to pay an additional fee to appear for the re-exam
How are Exam Centre Allotted?
Exam centres will be allotted based on the city of preference. Several candidates faced discomfort during the first exam. Those are advised to forward their complaint and grievances along with supporting documents to the NEET helpdesk.
