In this regard, the scandal around the TCS unit in Nashik took a sharp turn this week, as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) stepped into the investigation of sexual harassment and coerced conversion claims. The case that became a nationwide discussion about “corporate jihad” reached a critical juncture on Saturday, April 18, 2026, following the statement by TCS CEO K. Krithivasan.

CEO Disputes Core Allegations

Speaking for the first time about this issue, Krithivasan sought to clarify the position of the prime accused, Nida Khan, who is still at large. According to the CEO, Khan, widely known as an HR manager, was in fact an associate who did not take any part in management and recruitment.

Of particular interest is the admission by the CEO that, according to the results of the preliminary review by the company’s internal POSH and ethics committees, there were no recorded cases of such accusations filed against the company before the law enforcement intervention.

IT company TCS has issued an official statement, breaking its silence on allegations of religious conversion and sexual harassment at its unit in Nashik, Maharashtra. The company’s CEO, K. Krithivasan, clarified that an independent and impartial investigation has been initiated into these allegations.

CEO K. Krithivasan dismissed media reports suggesting the closure of the Nashik unit as completely false. He clarified that the Nashik unit is operating normally and serving its customers. The company also clarified that the female employee, Nida Khan, who is being named in the media as the HR manager, was neither the HR manager nor responsible for the recruitment process. She was employed only as a process associate and did not have any leadership responsibilities.
