Raipur. All states were invited to a brainstorming session organized by the National Health Authority of the Government of India in Pune, Maharashtra, on April 17th and 18th to discuss better implementation of the scheme. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh was honored with two prestigious national awards for its excellent performance in the effective implementation of the scheme, robust administrative system, and transparent claims management system.

Chhattisgarh was selected as the Best Performing Large State in the High Trigger Efficacy and Timely Processing of Suspicious Claims categories.

In the High Trigger Efficacy category, the state demonstrated remarkable efficiency in identifying and effectively analyzing suspicious claims. An advanced IT-based monitoring system and robust audit mechanism ensured timely identification of irregularities. In the Timely Processing of Suspicious Claims category, the state demonstrated excellent performance in the prompt resolution of suspicious claims. Ensuring claim investigation, adjudication, and processing within the prescribed timeframe strengthened transparency and accountability.

Strengthening the claims audit mechanism in the state, effectively implementing a trigger-based monitoring system, and establishing better coordination with hospitals have led to significant improvements in the resolution of suspicious cases. This has resulted in improved quality of claims processing and reduced unnecessary delays, ensuring timely and quality healthcare delivery to scheme beneficiaries.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal expressed his happiness over this significant achievement of the state, saying, “This honor is a testament to the commitment, transparency, and continuous improvement of Chhattisgarh’s health system. Through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, we are committed to providing quality and free health services to every person in the state. This award is the result of the collective efforts of our health workers, administrative team, and partner institutions. We will continue to excel in the future, giving public service our highest priority.”
