Former BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla got into an argument with Mumbai-based model Rhiya Ahir on X, teasing her for not making it to Bigg Boss 20.

Ahir was in the news following a video clip of her halting a police van during protests staged by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Later, she appeared on the reality show as one of the 90 that was seen by the public in a vote but was eliminated by Punjabi actress Love Gill.

In a social media reel Poonawalla had singled out Ahir out while also BNP Mellot Prakash Sherwani got a dig and Rahul Gandhi from Congress, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, was dug in the process. He said Ahir appeared to have been planning to utilise the Bigg Boss platform for “anti-national and anti-Sanatan ideas.”

The ex-BJP spokesperson also slammed a ‘left-wing ecosystem’ in his post. He was replying when Ahir told him to “leave women alone” as he was twice her age and called him “uncle.”

In response, Poonawalla said that he is 38 years old and also gave Rahul another bunt, claiming her “IQ is equal to Rahul’s.”

It was an episode that started after Poonawalla posted a video that appeared to attack Ahir and journalist Sherwani, along with Rahul Gandhi. When talking about Ahir’s failure to make it to Bigg Boss 20 through voters, he had raised the point that what is the difference between a photograph going viral and grabbing a popular choice to do the reality show?

The exchange has since been discussed extensively on social media, as both have continued to exchange comments on Ahir’s bid in the reality show and Poonawalla’s criticism of her.
