Patna: Given the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has intensified its efforts to ensure smooth and efficient poll conduct. As part of its ongoing initiatives, the ECI is set to conduct training for more than 200 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from across the state.
These BLAs will be participating in a national-level training program that will be held at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in New Delhi, reported citing sources. The training aims to enhance their understanding of electoral processes and equip them with best practices to effectively carry out their responsibilities at the grassroots level.
Meanwhile, political activities have intensified in the state before the Bihar assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is going to Mithila region. This visit of PM Modi is being seen as a show of strength of NDA (BJP-JDU-LJP-HAM alliance). PM Modi’s rally has been organized in Jhanjharpur, Madhubani on 24 April.
This is PM Modi’s official visit, in which he will inaugurate many projects. This will not only take forward the development agenda of the NDA government, but through his public meeting, there will also be an attempt to give many strategic electoral signals. This program of Prime Minister Modi has become even more important because this area has traditionally been considered the stronghold of RJD and Lalu Prasad Yadav.
