Bhopal: In the third phase of elections for the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh, the final date for nominations is April 19. Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Rajgarh parliamentary constituency, Digvijay Singh, though was initially employing some other strategies, has now revised his strategy to contest. Singh and Digvijay announced their non-participation in the selection of candidates for the Lok Sabha in the upcoming elections.

Earlier, the Congress veteran leader Digvijay Singh was well prepared to file all 400 nominations in the Rajgarh parliamentary constituency. Whereas in the context of the Lok Sabha election schedule, Digvijay Singh was called to be a mastermind in excluding more than 400 candidates and steering them away from the elections, but in fact, Digvijay’s strategy had failed.

Digvijay Singh has now changed his strategy regarding the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat. Despite fielding 400 candidates, Digvijay has made this decision due to the elections conducted through EVMs. It is worth mentioning that Digvijay Singh filed his nomination from Rajgarh yesterday.

Digvijay Singh commented that he holds the electronic voting machines (EVMs) with great affection, among other things. He said that it was possible to do the filing for our nomination, but it would delay the signing of the permission from the Election Commission, and a unit is designed to limit the speed of doing it.

Digvijay Singh’s move of not selecting 400 individuals for the candidacy reveals a change in his electoral strategy, which is possibly aimed at improving the voting party’s concentration and resources to a limited number of minimal contestants. Moreover, his statement on EVMs shows the paradox of elections in the electronic voting system used in India. Through the campaign, other candidates will announce their strategies and reveal the electoral dynamics they utilize in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh constituency.
