Bhopal: The bugle for the Lok Sabha elections has already been sounded, and leaders in Madhya Pradesh are gearing up for the political battleground. Amidst this fervor, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has devised a ‘Vijay’ plan to win Rajgarh. The ex-CM is once again embarking on a political journey, this time targeting the Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat. He plans to undertake a padyatra (foot march) across 8 assembly constituencies that fall under the Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency. It is reported that the padyatra will commence from Susner constituency in Agar Malwa district on March 31st.

According to sources, Digvijay Singh will cover a distance of approximately 20 kilometers on foot in each assembly constituency. This padyatra strategy aims at connecting with the masses directly. Moreover, the regional leaders of the constituencies will also undertake padyatras covering 20 kilometers each. In areas where Digvijay Singh cannot reach, these regional leaders will conduct padyatras on his behalf. A strategy has been devised to walk 60 kilometers in one assembly constituency.

It is noteworthy that former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has been elected twice as Member of Parliament from the Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency in the past. After nearly 30 years, he is back in the electoral arena from his stronghold, Rajgarh. Speculations are rife that this could be his final electoral battle, as he believes that the people of Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency will once again repose their trust in him. However, it will only be after the elections that it will be clear whom the public chooses to bless with their mandate.

The political landscape in Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a surge of activity with leaders strategizing and mobilizing their resources for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In this charged atmosphere, Digvijay Singh’s padyatra plan holds significance as it aims to bridge the gap between the political leadership and the grassroots populace. As the electoral battle unfolds, all eyes are set on Rajgarh, awaiting the verdict of its people.
