Jaipur: Fourteen people have been arrested by the Rajasthan police on the charges of attacking Rakesh Tikait, BKU leader on Taratpur village of Alwar district on Friday. The convoy of Rakesh Tikait was on its way to Bansur where the leader had addressed a gathering.

A major report stated that 33 people stopped his car on the pretext of welcoming him. Then they broke the windows of the car and threw black ink on Rakesh. The FIR also stated that an attempt was made to snatch weapons from Rajaram Meel, the state President of BKU.

Late on Friday night, a case was registered for the incident. Rakesh Tikait had said in a tweet that the attack was done by the BJP goons. CM of Rajasthan said that necessary actions will be taken against the culprits.

When the BJP leader got to know the news, they claimed that it had nothing to do with the attack. The BJP has questioned the role of the Rajasthan police during the incident and asked why they were mute spectators during the incident.

After such an attack, the protesting farmers blocked the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur border to express their anger. Later, the traffic police were called to clear the blockade.
