Narayanpur: A Naxalite was killed by the security forces during an encounter in Naranyanpur, Chhattisgarh on late Sunday night. Although the jawans have recovered the body of the Naxalite, but his identity is yet to be revealed. Presently, the security forces are conducting a search at the spot.
The District Reserve Guard (DRG) and BSF personnel went for a search operation on Sunday. At 1:30 PM they witnessed an encounter with the Naxalites near the BSF camp, located almost 6 km from the Bharanda police station. Sources reveal that the Naxalited already ambushed and opened fire and in response, the soldiers opened fire. The Naxalites fled from there after a brief encounter.
Earlier in November 2021, a Naxal commander was shot dead in the Naranyapur district in an operation by DRG. Search conducted then recovered a body of Naxal clad in uniform with an AK-47 rifle.
