Nampally: As part of a significant move towards economic empowerment, a Mega Job Mela which sought to provide employment opportunities to minority youth, was successfully organized at Red Rose Palace, Nampally. Organised under the aegis of the Telangana Minorities Welfare Department and the Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation (TGMFC), the program was ably supported by organizations such as Orchid University and TWG International Pvt. Ltd.

The primary employment drive was formally inaugurated by the Transport Minister and Hyderabad In-charge Ponnam Prabhakar and the Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprise Minister Mohammed Azharuddin amidst some key representatives. The program received an unprecedented number of responses from job seekers all over the state, with over 3,000 individuals applying for jobs.

In order to cater to the different skill sets of the youth, over 100 leading organizations took part in the event. Recruitment opportunities were provided in many different industries, ranging from information technology to logistics and e-commerce, banking, retail and hospitality, manufacturing and automotive services, construction, BPO, and health care industries.

As a result of active participation by the companies, the event proved very successful, with more than 1,000 interviews conducted throughout the day. Minister Mohammed Azharuddin addressed the gathering, stating that the government of Telangana has been continuously working to provide employment opportunities for youth through various recruitment and skill development programs. Moreover, he stated that the goal of the government was not limited to conducting recruitment drives and issuing offer letters, but rather that their primary objective was the provision of ongoing support, enabling the selected candidates to join their respective organizations.

TGMFC Chairman Obedullah Kotwal thanked the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for backing the welfare activities for minorities, adding that TGMFC, Orchid University, and TWG International working together is evidence of an industry-academia-government synergy for economic upliftment of youth in Telangana.
