Congratulatory messages poured in as Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. The Portuguese footballer got hitched to his long-time Argentine-Spanish model partner and mother of his children on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo, for the special occasion, donned a white tuxedo with black accents on the lapels, accessorized with brooches, paired with a black bow tie and a maroon pocket square. Next to him, this gorgeous lady was seen in a radiant ivory gown cinched at the waist, styled with a gauzy white veil and a pair of stilettos and diamond anklets.
The Portuguese media has labeled the ceremony the wedding of the year, reporting that the couple tied the knot on August 11 at the coastal town of Cascais, near the capital city, national capital, Lisbon. As per reports, the children of the duo also attended the ceremony.
Taking to Instagram, Ronaldo confirmed the marriage sharing an image of two hands wearing wedding rings, believed to be his and his wife’s. The post received more than three million likes within just 30 minutes.The couple has been together for more than a decade.
The couple’s relationship is a modern fairy tale which began at a chance meeting at a Gucci boutique in Spain where Rodriguez happened to work as a sales assistant, over time the cute meeting transitioned into one of the most closely watched relationships of the world, and a decade later the couple reached another milestone where they announced their engagement in August.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram, with Rodrigues sharing a photo of a large diamond ring on social media, captioning the post in Spanish, she wrote, “Yes, I do. In this and all my lives.”
