Chhattisgarh CM House turns green for Hareli festival, showcasing state’s rich rural culture
Celebrations have started for the traditional festival Hareli Tihar around the state with the offices of Chief Minister Nava Raipur even basking in the celebration of Chhattisgarh most important agricultural festival.
It has been adorned with a traditional Hareli theme and a number of displays are eye catching that focus on some of the agricultural implements, village life and tradition of Chhattisgarh.
CM House Gets a Traditional Makeover
From the entrance to different parts of the premises, the decorations showcase the essence of Hareli and the state’s rural culture. The whole creation feels like it has breathed life into a small chhattisgarhi village in the middle of the city, and everything traditional accentuates the intimate relation of the festival with chattisgarhi and rural life.
Hareli is a significant occasion for the farming community in Chhattisgarh. Farmers worship their farm gear and pray for a bountiful crop, good luck and happiness.
Also, a picture of Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb celebrated the festivity at the CM House. The minister also enjoyed themselves dancing to the tunes of the musical instruments played by Raut Nacha artists, which also created the festive mood.
Guru Khushwant Saheb welcomed Hareli, saying the festival was very exciting and also emphasised its value to the farmers of the state. He termed Hareli as one of the important traditional festivals of the state of Chhattisgarh and informed that the farmers celebrate Hareli with great enthusiasm and joy.
Government Highlights Farmers’ Welfare
The minister also spoke about the agricultural welfare thrust in the state by the Chhattisgarh government and its attention towards farmers. He said that BJP government in the state has always been striving for the welfare of the farmers and cited that the procurement of paddy was done from the farmers at the price of Rs 3,100 per quintal by the state government.
The celebration of Hareli at the Chief Minister’s bungalow witnessed the integration of folk culture with Chhattisgarh’s cultural legacy, and the farming community’s enthusiasm, making it a lively festival event in Nava Raipur.
