Gaza: Overnight Israeli air strikes on apartments in Gaza city killed at least nine people, with four children reported among the dead. the strikes. Israeli warplanes carried out four simultaneous air strikes without issuing any warnings to civilians.

Initial reports indicate rescue teams were immediately deployed to the scenes as a large fire broke out at one of the impacted sites. Chaotic scenes were reported as a family, including children, women and elderly people were trapped inside burning apartments.

Israeli forces according to reports, have sealed the entrance to the town of Kifl Haris as a large number of settlers travelling in groups entered the area under the protection of the military to perform Talmudic rituals at local Islamic shrines. Israeli settlers further vandalized primary and the only water pipeline supplying Arab al-Tabana Bedouin community near the Khan al-Ahmar area between Jerusalem and Jericho in the occupied West Bank. Besides, agricultural lands in the town of Burqa, east of Ramallah were set ablaze causing widespread fire.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned a protest outside the home of a Supreme Court justice who had ordered the arrest of ultra-Orthodox Jewish students refusing to serve in the Israeli army. Dozens of ultra-Orthodox Jewish protestors gathered outside the home of Justice Noam Sohlberg on Wednesday night, in the illegal Israeli settlement of Alon Shvut in the occupied West Bank, with reports of damage to his home.

Israel has been trying to roll back Orthodox Jews being exempted from compulsory military service, as Israel’s wars on Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and the wider region have caused troop shortages.

In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained Khalil al-Tarhouni, a security guard at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, following a formal summons.
