KORBA: Four persons of a family including a woman and two kids died in a fierce road accident that took place in Korba on Wednesday morning.
The accident occured due to a collision between a truck and a car near Madanpur Forest Barrier under Morga police station.
The police said, “The deceased family members include a man his wife and two children. All four members died on the spot. The truck driver managed to flee.”
Morga police station in charge, Ashwani Nirankari who took over the rescue operations identified the deceased as Manoj Kumar Tirkey, a resident of Ambikapur and a sub inspector at Jagdalpur who was travelling with his family to Jagdalpur from Ambikapur.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and further details are awaited.
