It is once again proved that nothing can remain obscure in the world of social media. A post that briefly appeared on McDonald’s India’s official X account on September 6 has sparked a stir after an individual claiming to be an intern accused his boss of withholding his salary for months.
The now-deleted post was written by an anonymous person who claimed to work as an intern at McDonald’s India. The individual also shared a photograph of the person they identified as their boss, named Amit Joshi, along with the claim.
“I am an intern at McDonald’s India. My boss, Amit Joshi, has not paid me for months, forcing me to take on two extra jobs. I manage several McDonald’s Asian accounts, but Amit Joshi has not paid me since December 2025.”
The post quickly garnered attention because of the nature of the accusation and the claim that the intern was forced to take on additional jobs while continuing to manage multiple accounts.
The identity of the person who posted the message still remains unclear. However, the post, which was available on McDonald’s India’s official X handle, was deleted, and screenshots of the claim circulated online shortly after.
The incident has prompted questions about how the post appeared on the company’s verified social media account in the first place. There has been no confirmation from McDonald’s India about the post, the identity of the person, the claim made, or the allegations against Amit Joshi at the time of writing.
