Ludhiana: A series of threats is continuing in Punjab, as three prominent and well-known schools were hit by bomb threats in Ludhiana. These schools include Bal Bharti School in Dugri, DAV School Sarabha Nagar Extension, and another prominent school. As soon as the threatening email surfaced, panic gripped the schools. The police have been informed of the threat.
The remarkable thing is that at the time of this threat, students’ exams were underway in schools. The students were writing their papers when this sudden news sent shockwaves through the school administration. Upon hearing of the threat, parents erupted in panic. Parents abandoned their work, jobs, and businesses and rushed to the schools to bring their children back safely. A huge crowd of worried and frightened parents quickly gathered outside the schools.
Given the sensitivity of the matter, Ludhiana police arrived at the scene, accompanied by a heavy police force, including bomb squads and anti-sabotage teams. First, all three schools were carefully evacuated to ensure no endangerment to the lives of children and staff. A thorough search operation was then launched.
Giving details on the entire matter, Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO of Sarabha Nagar Police Station, said that the schools had received a threatening email. Upon receiving the information, special police teams, equipped with modern equipment, launched a thorough checking campaign.
It’s a matter of relief that no suspicious objects or explosives were recovered from within the schools during the investigation. The situation is currently under control. Meanwhile, the police are conducting a thorough investigation to determine who sent this horrific email, and from where. A special team from the Cyber Cell is being enlisted to do this.
