Chandigarh: A massive fire has broken out in the forests of Shimla. Continuous efforts are being made to extinguish this fire, but the fire is only increasing. Many vehicles of the Air Force and Fire Brigade are engaged in extinguishing the fire. Meanwhile, there is also news that arrangements have been made to send water from Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh to extinguish this terrible fire. Helicopters of the Indian Air Force filled water from Sukhna Lake and poured it on the fire. This work continued for more than 15 hours, the work continued even at night.
The forests are still under surveillance to prevent the fire from flaring up again. Reports indicate that a massive forest fire in Kasauli, Solan district, threatened to engulf the Indian Air Force Station. Given the situation, two helicopters were deployed to extinguish the fire. Solan administration officials stated that the fire broke out near the Kasauli Air Force Station.
Following this, the Air Force deployed its MI-17 and Chinook helicopters to extinguish the fire in difficult areas of the forest. Water was also brought from Chandigarh’s Sukhna Lake to douse the fire. Furthermore, it is being reported that the red glow of the forest fire is visible in some areas of Chandigarh, although every effort is being made to extinguish the fire.
