On Wednesday, Moheban Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, announced development projects of worth, worth Rs 30.86 crore, while visiting Kalapipal in Shajapur district. The Chief Minister addressed the Kisan Samriddhi Sankalp Sammelan and ‘Hara-Bhara Kalapipal’ plantation campaign and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various infrastructure projects, as well as announcing new roads and new railway overbridge for the region.
Yadav was warmly welcomed during the roadshow before the public event as the villagers showered flowers as he passed through the town. He expressed his appreciation for the beauty of Kalapipal and its multi fold importance, which is graced by a number of rivers such as the River Parvati, Nevaj and Lakundar.
Yadav said that his government will continue to work towards implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and it would be introduced in Madhya Pradesh in the coming month. He stressed that the country should have uniform laws for all citizens.
The agriculture focus of the CM was also covered, with proposals aimed at relieving the financial burden of farmers. Agricultural loans will be also be available for one year—and no more need to be funded for six months, he said. Yadav attributed this to the BJP government’s works of providing irrigation facilities, supplying better electricity supply and assuring power supply in the daytime during the monsoon season.
Inspiring the villagers, he pointed out the achievements of setting up infrastructures, thus villages in Shajapur have been getting water from the Narmada which is quite distance from them and will further expand coverage. He also pointed out that the Congress previous governments ignored the farmers’ needs for providing irrigation, electricity and providing farmers’ welfare and said BJP had done effective job in providing support to agriculture field in the state.
