Madhya Pradesh CM Dr Mohan Yadav reached Ujjain on Saturday and paid final respects to senior BJP leader and former minister Paras Jain.
Addressing the gathering at Ujjain helipad, the Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was warmly welcomed by various public figures and senior officials after landing at Ujjain, before he proceed at once to meet Paras Jain at his home and handed over floral tributes before the senior leader’s final journey.
The death of former minister and ex-MLA Paras Jain from Ujjain North assembly constituency has left people in Ujjain and the Bharatiya Janata Party not only shattered but in tears. There was a gathering of BJP leaders and party workers at his home to pay their condolences and assure the family.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in an interview with the media lamented that Jain’s death was a “deep pain” to the state and the BJP.
Proclaiming his heartfelt tributes to Paras Jain, the Chief Minister said that his contribution towards the people and the party will remain with the memory of God.
During the tribute ceremony, there were several senior leaders, like the Higher Education Minister Inder Sing Parmar, State in-charge minister Gautam Tetwal and other public speakers.
Over the years Paras Jain was seen as being one of the most influential leaders in Ujjain in the BJP and helped in the growth of the party in the region.
