Jabalpur: The issue of black marketing of the fertilizers provided to the farmers in Madhya Pradesh goes on with the FIRs being lodged against those involved in the organizational illegality. It has been stated that out of the 33 villages of the Chargaon police station area, two cooperative societies were involved in the largest fertilizer scandal.
The problem came into the public domain, given the reports made to the district collector, who ordered that an action on the matter be conducted. When the preliminary online and physical verification process was completed, there were major deviations from the norm, which urged the institution or a relevant body to take legal action against the accused.
The study also established that there was rampant fraud in two cooperative societies, namely, the Barkheda Cooperative Society and the Sukha Bharatpur Cooperative Society, both located in Chargaon. These societies used to supply fertilizers to the farmers; they cheated the farmers by not providing them with the right supplies they were legally supposed to give them.
In light of the foregoing findings, the police have apprehended some of the individuals who have been involved in the ongoing scams. A police complaint has been filed against Rajesh Nandesaria, the committee manager, and two fertilizer officers, Aneesh Mishra and Nandlal Jharia. The accused has been charged with sections 318 and 316 of the Indian Penal Code in connection to the scam.
Contacting Suryakant Sharma, Additional Superintendent of police, Jabalpur, he said that the accused are under close supervision and Legal action has been initiated to punish them for the fertilizer black market scheme.
