On Sunday, 13th September the 40th instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana will be moved by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav from Agar Malwa. These financial supports will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of 1,25,10,150 women who are eligible to receive it in a month’s time all over the state.
The state government said this month (September) will see the disbursement of Rs 1,835 crore and Rs 9.22 lakh. This fund will bring the total amount transferred to women as regular monthly assistance since the launch of the scheme to Rs 65,395.99 crore.
The Ladli Behna Yojana commenced in June 2023 with Rs 1,000 monthly payment made to eligible women. From October 2023, the support grew by Rs 250, up to Rs 1,250 per month. Another increase of Rs 250 was made from 1st November 2025 to take the amount of monthly allowances to Rs 1,500.
The scheme also offers facilities to eligible women who avails to the social security pension scheme benefit at the rate of Rs 900 per month. In this instance, the government will pay the difference according to the scheme’s stipulations.
The 39 monthly regular payments have been made between June 2023 and August 2026. This September’s payment will be the 40th. The government had said it had transferred Rs 63,560.90 crore to the beneficiaries from June 2023 to August 2026. Finances for the scheme for the financial year 2026-27 are allocated as Rs 23,882.81 Crore.
During the Agar Malwa visit, CM Mohan Yadav would also be conducting the ‘bhoomi pujan’ for 33 development projects with a cost of over Rs 225 crore, and opening 17 projects with a cost exceeding Rs 28 crore.
