Dhar: The Bhojshala complex in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, is still the subject of ongoing surveys by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), even after several centuries of its existence. Tuesday is the 54th day of this detailed survey. This day, a team of 12 ASI officials and 39 laborers arrived at the site around 8 AM to start working.
Since today is Tuesday, Hindu devotees will go to Bhojshala to recite the Hanuman Chalisa, a ritual done on this day of the week. Thus, the survey activities within the Bhojshala premises will be momentarily stopped to allow the religious celebration. Nevertheless, the site work will be carried out without interruption. This delicately balanced situation is preserved by the court’s order, which allows Hindu worshipers to carry out their rituals on Tuesdays.
The ASI survey at Bhojshala, also called Kamal Moula Mosque, is being conducted under strict supervision. The Hindu and Muslim representatives are there to ensure that everything is transparent and follows the rules. The survey is the tool for recording and saving the site which is the religious place of the two communities, that means it has the historical importance.
The day before, all the document work was done indoors in Bhojshala. The ASI team finished their activities at around 4:15 PM and left the place. This thorough documentation, which entails the recording of every detail, is the main reason why it is necessary to comprehend the historical background of the site and to preserve it for the benefit of future generations.
The Bhojshala complex has top-notch security, with a three-tiered police protection system to ensure order and prevent unwanted incidents. Specific rules prohibit carrying mobile phones and electronic gadgets in the survey area, guaranteeing that the work goes smoothly without any disturbances.
