Gwalior: 341 oxygen cylinders meant for Covid-9 patients were allegedly stolen from Jaya Arogya Hospital (JAH) during the scare of the third wave of the pandemic. There is no official record or markings of the cylinders missing. After a long departmental inquiry, JAH management went to Kampu police station with a letter related to the missing cylinder. After a preliminary investigation, police have booked some unidentified persons based on the hospital authorities’ complaint, and further investigation is underway.
The hospital filed a police complaint on December 11th, and an FIR was lodged against unidentified persons of misrepresentation of oxygen cylinder missing between June 27th and December 10th under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 380 (theft) at the Kampu police station. The hospital authorities have also written a letter to the additional chief secretary (health), director general (medical health), divisional health officials and district officials on this matter.
