A report indicated that Ranbir Kapoor’s eagerly awaited Ramayana Part 1 might be released in theatres a day early. The Nitesh Tiwari-led mega production was earlier planned to be released on November 6 while it is now being rumoured that the makers are thinking of changing the release date to November 5.
The stakeholders broadly see eye-to-eye on the proposed release date on Thursday, the report said, citing a source involved in the project. However, the change is yet to receive final approval. In the event that the new date is confirmed, the makers will be expected to declare it officially.
Another said shift relates to the worldwide release of the movie. Ramayana Part 1 is likely to be released on the same date in India as well as in other countries, creating an opportunity for people around the world to watch the first part of the film simultaneously.
The reported development of release-date takes part amid the promotion of the much-anticipated movie. Recently, character posters for the project were unveiled, providing audiences with closer view details of some of the heroes in the project.
In one poster, Ranbir Kapoor is Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman in front of a forest background. Another poster introduced Ravana to be Yash, and noted that he has a principal antagonist role in the epic.
The film is developed as a big scale epicization adaptations (7200 year old Indian epic story) of Ramayana. Other stars include Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari.
The story is designed to be a two-part movie series. The first is expected to hit the theaters by this year and Ramayana 2 will come out in Diwali 2027.
The proposed date of Nov. 5 may be final, but an official word from the makers will probably be issued if the proposed schedule is accepted.
