RAIPUR: An alert has been issued across 13 districts on Chhattisgarh on Saturday. The Met Dept forecast thrunderstorms, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall in Pendra Road, Korba, Bilaspur, Kabirdham, Rajnandgaon, Durg Raipur and Bilaspur.
On Friday, Bastar received rains cooling the summer heat. As for the mercury levels, maximum temperatures stood at 37.6 degrees Celsius while minimum temperatures were recorded in Kabhirdham at 17 degrees.
According to sources from the Met Dept, a cyclonic circulation is over Chhattisgarh and adjoining parts of Odisha. A wind discontinuity extends from the cyclonic circulation over North Interior Karnataka to South Tamil Nadu across South Interior Karnataka in the lower tropospheric levels.
