Durg: Dheeraj Vastrakar, Shivam Mishra, and Praveer Sharma are the accused of planning a murderous attack on Assistant Professor Vinod Sharma from Khubchand Baghel College, Bhilai-3, have been turned down bail pleas by the Sessions Judge of Durg District Court. To this, the three accused have now commenced a petition for anticipatory bail in the High Court.
The SP of Durg has already initiated the lookout circular for all the accused who are still on the run. Further, INR 10,000 each has been rewarded for six fugitives alive. Meanwhile, in a similar incident, Ashok Sharma, a lawyer of Bhilai who recently joined BJP from Janata Congress, had a meeting with Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh. The one that happened in the meeting was when Ashok Sharma held demand for a narco test and scientific investigation for the three accused who have already been apprehended with regard to the case.
On July 19, an obscene act was committed against Professor Vinod Sharma as the police conducted a one-month investigation. After this, three criminals were caught in Rewa and taken to jail. Police are on a speculative hunt for the prime accused, Praveer Sharma, Dheeraj Vastrakar, Shivam Mishra, and three other people who were involved in the crime.
In this high-profile affair, Prof Sharma was first attended by general physicians before he was airlifted to AIIMS in Delhi due to the severity of the head injuries. Due to the pathetic state that the professor was in, the police decided to take his statement, which included a dying declaration. Every bone in his body was broken, and he spent 12 days in an intensive care unit but miraculously survived and was at one point based in Dubai on and on a wooden leg.
At present, Professor Sharma is admitted to Vedanta Hospital in Delhi, and he is under treatment. Police forces have said they are going to transfer him to Chhattisgarh shortly and his security measures have been strengthened. Delhi police officers have also been deployed to guard him.
