Chhattisgarh: In a bid to revive economic activities in the fourth extended phase of the lockdown, Chhattisgarh government, on Monday, eased the restrictions and allowed barber shops, salons and local pan shops to reopen in non-containment, but with strict social distancing norms in place.
State government order said that there should be proper arrangement of sanitizers in the pan shop. While pan shop will only able to sell the tobacco, cigarette, water pouches etc. But smoking in the public place or near any shop will be strictly prohibited. And there will be compulsion on wearing a face mask.
According to the order, barbershops, salons, beauty parlours will also be allowed to remain open with safety precautions and sanitation protocols in place. The state government has also imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) which bars gathering of more than five people and prohibits movement of individuals for non-essential activities between 7 pm to 7 am.
This announcement came after the Centre issued fresh guidelines for the Lockdown 4.0 in which all shops and markets except those located in containment zones will be allowed to open if State government has declared it as non-containment zone or green zone.
