The Minerals department in Chhattisgarh has intensified it’s actions against the illegal sand mining in the state. This happened with the help of a late night operation which took place on the Achota Road on Thursday. The instructions for the same were given by the district administration, following which trucks having sand without valid documents were inspected.

The officials have opened up on this matter. They said that the information was received on some Hyva vehicles which are carrying illegal sand through the Achota Road. After getting the instructions, a team arrived and started checking all the vehicles passing through the area.

Various Hyva vehicles were stopped in this process and checking was conducted for their documents. In the inspection, some vehicles were even found transporting sand without having any valid documents. The department also started taking actions against such vehicles.

The operation by the administration started at around 11 PM and continued till 2 AM. The mineral department was present at the time of operation, as they thoroughly checked the vehicles which were transporting sand.

It has also been reported that around half a dozen vehicles have been seized in this operation.
