Raipur: Finance Minister OP Choudhary, while presenting the budget for Chhattisgarh, emphasized on accelerating capital investment to achieve the target of 10 trillion total domestic production by 2030. He underscored the need for substantial growth in capital investment across manufacturing and service sectors to attain this goal. Minister Choudhary highlighted that achieving the target of 10 trillion total domestic production requires concerted efforts not only in agriculture but also in manufacturing and service sectors, emphasizing transparency and efficiency at all levels.
Choudhary stressed that the contribution of the service sector to our GDP remains at 31%, whereas the national average is approximately 55%. He emphasized the imperative of enhancing the contribution of the service sector to the GDP by working at war footing levels.
Regarding housing schemes, the Finance Minister mentioned that an initial provision of 3800 crore rupees was made in the supplementary budget. However, now they are allocating 8369 crore rupees towards this endeavor, indicating an increased focus on housing development initiatives.
Additionally, a provision of 10,000 crore rupees has been made for the Agricultural Development Scheme, underlining the government’s commitment to boosting agricultural productivity and welfare.
Furthermore, a provision of 4,500 crore rupees has been allocated for the Water Supply Scheme, demonstrating the government’s dedication to addressing crucial infrastructure needs.
