Balod, Chhattisgarh: A drug peddling racket was busted in Balod on Wednesday after a team of Cyber cell was tipped off. The cyber cell caught suspects during the exchange of drugs from the dealer who hailed from village Padkibhat Durg Balod marg.
Suspects identified as Aijaz Ahmed, Shobit Tiwari, Sameer Khan and Sumit Bhomi were nabbed after interrogation. Sources reveal nearly 1089 medicines were recovered from the accused possession. After examining the drugs, Drug Inspector Mrs Jageshwari confirmed these medicines as NRX which are classified as narcotics and psychotropic substances according to NDPS Act, 1995. The accused have been charged under Section 2 (c) of the NDPS Act and taken into custody by the Balod police.
Along with the Cyber cell in charge Balod inspector Rohit Malekar, Principal constable Bhuneshwar Markam, Rumlal Churendra, constable Puran Prasad Devgan, Vipin Gupta, Sandeep Yadav, Akash Dubey, Rahul Manhare, Vivek Shahi, Mithlesh Yadav, Yogesh Patel, Shailendra Sinha busted the drug peddling racket.
