In the wake of the rapid growth of coronavirus cases, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry have ordered the State Health Department to double up the speed of tests among the patients and the migrants returning from the adjacent states. The state has been divided into red zones and orange zones. Around 80 developmental blocks have been confined to orange zones, 4 developmental blocks have been confined to the red zone.

The state health secretary, Niharika Barik Singh, has stated that the ease of doing business would depend on the classification of the zones.

Numerous migrants have reached the state through several efforts. Many migrants have returned from the adjacent areas and neighbouring states. Unemployment and unpaid salaries compelled them to leave the arena.  The government is adopting several measures to ensure safety. The authorities and the local Non-governmental Organizations (NGO) are taking steps to help out the migrants in every possible way.
