Chhattisgarh: On Tuesday, Three-Two fresh cases have emerged in Chhattisgarh including two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel. 30 cases surfaced from Balodabazar whereas 2 are from Narayanpur District.
As per the information received, 23 ITBP personnel from different states arrived in Chhattisgarh via train on June 7 and they were sent to ITBP camp in Narayanpur through buses provided by the state government.
All the ITBP personnel were halted in separate barracks of the camp due to their return from other states. The health department official had taken the samples of all the Jawans wherein these two, who returned from Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh have been found Corona positive on Tuesday.
Narayanpur collector Abhijeet Singh said that both the ITBP jawans, who have tested Corona positive admitted in COVID isolation ward in district hospital and will be shifted to Jagadalpur COVID hospital at the earliest.
Meanwhile, around 30 new corona virus positive persons detected from Balodabazar district.
The health department is finding out the details of contact tracing of the COVID-19 positive affected persons. While an ambulance has been sent for them to bring them to the state capital for their treatment.
Balodabazar district chief health and medical officer (CMHO) Dr Khemraj Sonwani informed that six persons have discharged. In Balodabazar district, there are total 170 Corona positive cases. Of total 170 Corona cases, there are total 83 active Corona positive cases and 87 persons have been discharged so far.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh covid count has now surged to 1747, which includes 901 active cases whereas 837 have been recovered from the disease. There are 8 people who have died due to coronavirus in Chhattisgarh so far.
